Welcome to the Sint-Maarten Reading Festival
We are proud to present the Reading Festival Sint Maarten edition, the first event of its kind in the region. This initiative is a joint collaboration between Biblionef Netherlands, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Sint Maarten Library, Help Our Children Foundation, and the University of St. Martin. Our shared vision is to foster a society where every child embraces the joy of reading.
The festival is designed as a strategic platform to promote literacy and underscore the importance of reading, with a focus on elementary school students, parents, and educators. Through carefully curated activities, such as workshops, storytelling sessions, and interactions with authors, the festival aims to create an enriching and educational environment that inspires a love for books and learning.
The Reading Festival goes beyond celebrating literature; it seeks to instill a deeper appreciation for reading by actively engaging children, teachers, and the wider community. With a focus on lasting impact, the festival aspires to build a culture of reading that transcends the event, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and intellectual growth. This festival represents a significant milestone in our collective mission to elevate literacy and educational engagement in St. Maarten. Join us in making this vision a reality.
